A member asked:

Hi, i am 26 old woman, my blood group is b-ve, and i am going marry a man having a+ve blood group. will it create any problem at the time of pregnancy?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Blood group: For the 26 yo female with b-ve blood marrying a man that is A+ve. There is no contraindication however, the b-ve female will need rhogam once pregnancy is about 28weeks. At the time of delivery, if the infant is A+ve, the rhogam need to be repeated. Please note that you also need to know the genotype for you and the prospective spouse as well. Good luck
