The most effective treatment is still an oral antifungal medication like terbinafine, assuming you can take it safely. Fungus is slow-growing so you have time to see a podiatrist for proper treatment.

Horizontal ridges on both big toenails. Nail peeling. Doc doesn't think it's fungus because no discolor. No injury. Ideas?
Nail on big toe is 2/3 detached. negative for fungus but doc scripted Thymol anyway. It grows, I clip, been at least a yr. but no progress.
