Ask your doc: There are several BC options. each must be considered for your particular needs & health history. IUD's are pricey and uncomfortable to place, but offer years of low maintenance protection.

Check directions: Birth control pills are once a day. Not sure why you would be taking two a day. The packaging is made to help you to remember the pill once a day.

Concur with: earlier responses. I would check to insure that you are taking your oral contraceptive correctly. If there is confusion, either your pharmacist or your doctor should be able to help clarify that. There are many birth control options you can discuss with your gynecologist - I assume you are referring to depo provera.
