What is the purposes of getting hpv vaccine if already diagnosed with having it. my dr recommended it after being diagnosed. what would it do?

Not one germ: HPV is a large family of viral strains. At least 7 are known to be associated with cervical cancer and 2 or more with genital warts. The vaccine can help prevent the additional strains and additional risk. It is unlikely you are already infected with all. Males generally have no symptoms and may never know if or when the become infected but can pass them off & on for decades.
