A member asked:

I have an intercourse (protected) during my fertile window. is there any chance for me to get pregnant?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Protected sex: there is always a risk of conception even when you are having protected sex. you can lower the risks by using a spermicidal gel that is inserted into the vagina prior to intercourse. it must be dissolved to be effective. the risk of pregnancy with a condom are still in the range of 2 to 15% while with the spermicidal gel it lowers that risk to half this amount.
