Look in your mouth: Try using a mirror to look in your mouth. White adherent palques sticking to the inside of your cheeks or palette that leave a red area when scraped off are consistent with thrush.

Spit: I have never heard of that but just open your mouth and look. If you see white spots in your mouth or on your tongue or throat, you most likely have something and should see you physician
