No: It is too expensive and has no proven clinical or preventive benefit. The concept of "alkalinizing" the body by ingesting alkali is simply ludicrous. When you ingest alkaline water, your stomach ph is increased. Immediately the proton pumps in the gastric acid cells begin to produce more acid to bring the ph back down to the 1-2 range as needed for digestion. Don't drink it. It's a waste of money.

Forget it: Ionized water is a scam. Anyone who promotes it is ignorant, a huckster, or a quack. It is IMPOSSIBLE to "alkalinize your system" this way. Blood pH is one of the most tightly controlled values in your body. In a healthy person, any attempt to change it triggers physiological correction within seconds. Blood that's too acid or alkaline is a sign of disease.
