Yes it is: Possible but less likely. You can get genital herpes can cause herpes labialis and Vic versa. Do not allow any body with active cold sores to perform oral Sex on you.

NO: No one will get herpes from a towel. Another thing: although transmission is most likely during an attack, the virus can be detected between attacks. Most transmission actually occurs when no sore is present, often by people who are not aware that they carry it.
