What are the best preventative measures for flu?

Wash, vaccine, avoid: Avoiding people with the flu is the most reliable method, though this is hard to know, as some people may have no symptoms but carry it for a few hours! Flu can also be transmitted through the air Therefore, hand washing or use of antiseptics can help with preventing transmission. If there is an outbreak, wearing an appropriate mask might prevent flu. Finally, the flu shot / vaccine works!
