Many reasons: You need to see your gyn or a gyn, as it would be from hormones being messed up, must r/o pregnancy( prob not) could be form endometrial or uterine problems so u need an exam, blood work and an ultrasound.

When a girl has just started menstruating & around the time of menopause periods can be irregular.
