Is diarrhea a sign of ovulation?

Not usually: Most women don't have diarrhea at ovulation. Common signs of ovulation are cramping, back pain, vaginal discharge/mucus, spotting, breast tenderness/soreness, changing hormones, and increased body temperature. Some women's colons are more sensitive to fluctuating hormones, and it is possible. Use brat diet (bananas, rice, applesauce, toast) and imodium (loperamide). See ob/gyn exclude more serious thing.

For the past two months when i'm ovulating i've been getting diarrhea , why could this be ?

Should not: I would schedule a visit with a gastroenterologist to evaluate chronic diarrhea. You could also go on birth control to block ovulation and see if this fixes the problems. More likely your ovulation and diarrhea are not related.

A 30-year-old female asked:
Why do I get diarrhea every time I ovulate every month?

Tricky: cannot say in your particular case. There are several reasons for diarrhea. Gut secretion like in cholera would not be expected to be associated with ovulation. Minor gut irritation and changes in gut motility can occur from anything in the abdomen.
