2yrs ago, i had pleurusy post pneumonia. the pain was very severe. over the last month, i have had the same stabbing pains, but not as severe, nor have i been ill. could it be pleurisy? what warning signs should i look for to say i need medical help?

Dr. John Chiu answered

Hard to tell: If you feel well otherwise (no fever, cough , or breathing problem), this is likely from inflammation on the chest cage. Is the pain relieved by ice pack, heating pad, or NSAID? If the pain is severe, you will need to see your doctor.
