Not any more: A person is a virgin before part of a penis enters a vagina. The person is no longer a virgin the moment after he or she begins to have sex for the first time. For many good reasons (psychological, physical), teens should wait a few years and not have sex while they are young. For adults, looking at the big picture and the grand scheme of life, being a virgin should not and does not matter at all.

Not a virgin: penetration of the vagina by an erect penis= loss of virginity.

Virginity: You can't be a 10% virgin or a 20% virgin or a 50% virgin depending on the depth of penetration and the duration. It is one way or the other. Your sexual activity means that you are no longer a virgin.
