Vitamins: Generally pregnant women are advised to take a Folic acid supplement or one prenatal vitamin. Other vitamins are only needed if a doctor has confirmed a vitamin deficiency. It is not beneficial to take extra vitamins beyond that without evidence of a Vitamin deficiency
