What's the cause of pain in my right outer thigh?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Maybe bursitis: The stabilizer on the outside of your thigh is the long iliotibial band running from hip to knee. It tightens if overused and not stretched. It runs over a lubricating packet (bursa) just below the curve of your hip where the bone sticks out to allow attachment of your thigh muscles. When bursas inflame, they're excruciating to touch. See your doctor for proper diagnosis and plan. It's treatable.
