Gestational age dates back to around my conception date. march 24th last period 14 days after would be april 7th. my ga dates back to the 8th. why?

No reason: Pregnancy dating gives only estimates, which means April 6th, April 7th, April 8th, and April 9th are all the same day (this is an important concept to understand). Getting an ultrasound dating scan at pregnancy weeks 8-11 will give a good estimate of when the conception was and when the due date will be. The estimated date is not when something happens, but only an approximate date for the event.
