Chlordiazepoxide: Is a long acting benzodiazepine (Librium). Using this medication to wean of alcohol is a common use, but in an outpatient setting is rare. I would call the physician who prescribed this, and ask what titration course was intended for you. Abrupt cessation of this medication could cause significant withdrawal symptoms. If you cannot contact your prescribing physician, go to an ER for care.
