Pinched nerve? : Since the symptoms are occurring only on one side, and are recurrent, one explanation would be a herniated disc in your lumbar spine. See a physician for an examination. A MRI of the lumbar spine may be indicated. Go to the emergency room if you develop numbness in your groin, or lose control of your bowel or bladder functions (incontinence).
