Irregular periods: Irregular periods are one of the most common problems obgyns treat. If this is one time problem it usually resolves on its own. If this is a recurring problem you should be evaluated. Infections ; hormonal changes can cause spotting. If there is a concern for pregnancy then do a home pregnancy test . Well: You do not state your age. Now having your tubes tied does not stop the periods. So it seems your periods are presently irregular. If you are young take a pregnancy test first. It is always possible to just be having an irregular period. But give a good gynecological history for more help
