Probably normal: There is a wide range of what is considered normal when it comes to sexual function. Is he taking medications to help him attain an erection? (He may be doing this without you're knowing so it may pay to be sensitive in the way you approach this). However, it can be normal for an erection to take several minutes to go away.

May well be: There's a spectrum of normal and sometimes can take time to become flaccid again after ejaculation (detumesence). Can as the others have said be affected by medications - eg viagra etc. There are some rarer conditions that can cause prolonged painful erections (priapism) and so for full reassurance may well be worth a GP check in case tests need to be run.
