No risk, no worries: Household molds, "black" or otherwise, have been greatly exaggerated as health threats, especially online. Mold rarely causes signifcant health problems and cleaning the basement probably is entirely safe.

Mold: While most people may not get sick. It is prudent to use mold face mask. Some people may suffer from mold allergies or the spores of the mold could cause upper respiratory allergic symptoms and also avoid exposure to your skin as you may develop skin fungal infection or caution if Asthmatic as it can trigger it. Systemic infection may occur in immunocompromised persons
