Irregular bleeding: Bleeding early in a cycle (if not on oral contraceptives) can be caused by early pregnancy. The danger is if the pregnancy may be in the tubes (ectopic). Get a serum HCG test to be certain you are not pregnant. If you are on oral contraceptives, even skipping one day can cause withdrawal bleeding. If this is the case, stop the bcp's now and restart a new cycle in seven days.
