Cycles: Could be a normal fluctuation in your cycles. Keep a menstrual calendar and track your periods. After 6 months if inconsistent cycles continue, take your calendar to your provider to work out a plan.

Abnormal periods: We would want to rule out a miscarriage at the time of the first abnormal period. When did you do the pregnancy test? If it was after the first period by many days and it was a miscarriage, the HCG levels might have declined to detectable levels. Consult with your GYN if the periods remain abnormal.
