7 days: Oral contraceptive pills are out of your system in about 7 days. The return to normal fertility is very rapid. Generally one should not stop birth control until they are ready to be pregnant

Be patient: While your system may be able to re-set in a week off BC, the cited average wait until a desired pregnancy is 6mo with a range from weeks to a year. No success at that point may indicate need to seek out a fertility center (both parents) to see if any problem exists. If a problem is fund either they help solve it or help you bypass it.
