RLS: Unfortunately, none of our RLS medications are safe in pregnancy, but taking iron supplements can help restless legs and are perfectly safe. Would advise taking the over the counter iron twice daily.

Iron may help: If your wife's blood iron level is low (in particular, if she has low levels of ferritin in the bood), as often occurs in pregnancy, iron replacement pills often are highly effective in RLS and entirely safe in pregnancy. She should discuss it with her obstetrician. Even if ferritin is normal, iron might be worth a try. Best wishes both for success in treating her RLS and for your growing family.
