Tongue lump: Do you recall any trauma to the tongue? If so this could be a hematoma(blood collection). Other possibilities include an abscess, blocked salivary gland duct or growth. An examination by your physician or otolaryngologist is recommended for diagnosis and treatment. In the meantime bathe the tongue with warm salt water.
