Depends on "safe.": If you are worried about skin infection, it's likely that if you're practicing good wound care and its healing well that you won't develop a late infection. However, if your tetanus shot has not been updated in the last 10 years, you are NOT safe as the average incubation period (time between exposure and symptoms) for tetanus is 10 days. Please update your vaccinations if you are not up to date.
