Get checked: My rule with testicles is always if in doubt check it out. Possibilities include testicular haematoma, torsion, epidydimitis, hernia. All of these can be potentially serious and so I recommend urgent examination by a doctor. Safer to be overcautious here than to miss something at an early stage if you are not sure.

You need to see a dr: Testicular pain can be due to many causes. Inflammation, infection or hernia can cause such pain as well as more sinister causes such as Testicular cancer. It is best to see your doctor who can carry out a thorough examination as well as arrange imaging such as Ultrasound to determine the cause of the pain

Check if not sure: If the pain is only mild and you don't think the testicle is swollen or particularly tender then it is reasonable to watch and wait for short period of time. If the pain is more intense, you are tender to self examine or you are unsure then it is safest to get it checked with your GP/regular doctor.

See answer: Any blunt trauma to the genital area can cause discomfort, pain, or major injury depending on the strength of the striking force. Given your description, in the absence of any noticeable swelling or skin discoloration, it is doubtful that any serious injury occurred though some soreness or sensitivity may exist. Observation, scrotal support, ice pack, mild pain reliever likely all that is needed.
