Shivering: Shivering is usually caused either by being cold (shivering causes the muscles to generate heat) or it can occur as an emotional response, or in response to certain chemicals that trigger it (pyrogens). Chronic kidney disease doesn't by itself lead to shivering, but solutions used in hemodialysis can sometimes cause shivering.
