Hi i was prescribed norethisterone to delay my period. i started the course but my period came early is it ok to take still, will it have any effect?

Progestin/period ?'s: Norethisterone can be used to delay onset of menstruation, but to have any real effect on delay of onset, it should be started during the last normal period. Starting in the middle of a cycle will not stop the next postovulatory menstrual event, so there is no substantial benefit in continuing the progestin unless to act as a form of contraception.
