Urethritis: It's still an STD. All urethral discharge in men your age is due to STD. Negative STD lab tests means only that you don't have gonorrhea or chlamydia -- you have nongonococcal urethritis (NGU). You and your sex partner(s) need to be treated with doxycycline or azithromycin. See an STD expert or infectious diseases specialist, if your current doctor seems uncertain about all this. Good luck.
