Genital ulcer: Genital ulcers or sores increase the risk of HIV if exposed. The most common cause of genital ulcers and sores is herpes, which itself increases HIV risk. Not clear from your question whether the ulcer problem in in you or your partner. Both of you should get medical care and advice.
