Use Insect repelant: In summer you will have a bug bite in certain ares of US. Deet is a good insect replant. OTC antibiotic like neosporin may help with Infection you have, or Bendryl lotion can help with itching. Dry skin is a separate condition. And you can use Moisturizing cream!

Not strange: Dry skin is one problem and the "goosebumps" show that you have an allergy problem to an insect that came in contact with you. I would suggest that you have your family physician refer you to a dermatologist and/or an allergist before you run into more significant problems. .
