Couldn't wait huh?: It is always a good idea for the MD to re-examine a miscarriage patient to see if all the material was removed by the D & C. Moreover, the cervix is now very open and susceptible to invading bacteria and intercourse can exacerbate that condition. It is always a good idea to follow MD's instructions as we usually have excellent advice & reasons for doing so. "Sex" doesn't have to be intercourse.
