A member asked:

Is there a difference between a fertile sperm and infertile sperm ? i mean the shape and the viscosity

A doctor has provided 1 answer
Dr. James Lin answered

Here are some...: The significance of sperm shape and semen viscosity has evolved & changed over the decades especially over the past 10-15 yrs. Currently, normal sperm shape appears in only about 4%, and semen is expected to liquefy in 30 minutes; if not, high viscosity is considered but its significance remains unknown. For infertility, make sure both parties need to be simultaneously evaluated and counseled.
