Could be: About 25% of early pregnancies are lost, usually due to chromosomal defects in the embryo. Often the only manifestation is a delayed heavy period. The term chemical pregnancy is some times used for this situation, if a pregnancy test was positive. Please consult your obstetrician as you should be taking pre-natal vitamins.
