Pneumonia.: First, be sure to follow your doctor's recommendations to treat the pneumonia you have now. Do not stop the antibiotics early. After you are completely cured, you could talk with your doctor about whether or not The vaccine against Strep pneumoniae (Pneumovax) is a good idea in your situation. Also not smoking is a great idea. Good luck.
