Hemorrhoids, fissure: What you're describing could be hemorrhoids or an anal fissure. The former comes, usually, from dietary issues; the latter from constipation itself where the hard stool tears the anal tissue. Try more fiber in your diet and a stool softener (OTC). If that doesn't work in 3-4 wks, see your PCP.
