Question cut off: But I am assuming that you are not writing in about history of pancreatitis. If you have new onset severe abdominal pain with tenderness to palpation (that is not associated with hx of Pancreatitis) then emergency medical evaluation is warranted . Need to rule out a surgical abdomen.
