I just finished a round of steroids after developing full body hives from augmentin. i'm still itchy - is this normal?

Hives can itch!: Yes - hopefully the steroids relieved the worst part of the symptoms. You can take antihistamines like Benadryl to help. Taking Pepcid also may help (It's another kind of antihistamine). You should AVOID heat - like hot showers etc, that will make the itching worse. If you think the hives are coming back - you need urgent care. Hopefully your steroid dose was enough. Call doc for any concerns.
