Wifes' painful feet: It is not uncommon as the weather gets warmer for ppl to have more foot pain as they become more active. Depending on how active your wife has been, she may be experiencing some tendonitis, bony arthritis, or normal wear. I suggest stretch and warm-up before activities, and cool down afterwards. Practice price therapy if the pain continues. If the pain still persists as for a podiatry referral.

Hard to say: But people with high arched cavo-varus feet tend to put more stress on the lateral side of the foot and therefore may increase the risk of pain with more aggressive activity.
