Electrosurgery: An electric needle can work but will leave a small scab for about a week. The laser used may not be optimal laser or the setting needs to be redone at higher setting.The pulse dye, ktp or even alexandrite laser can all treat broken blood vessels. The ipl is not as effective. If the vessel is deep it may require a redo with higher setting.

Depends: There are many lasers and you may have had the wrong laser or just an ipl (photofacial) which is not a laser at all. If the spider vein is red it would require a different setting than if the vein is blue or purple. A doctor should do the treatment especially if the technician used the wrong setting or the wrong laser.
