Mucus: It could be thick mucus or indeed a type of worm. It is difficult to comment without an examination. If you notice this again, keep a sample and take it to your doctor the next time who can arrange the sample to be examined in the lab.

Mild allergy: I have seen this occurring among patients with allergic rhinitis. Although this is not normal , it is not a major issue either in the absence of other symptoms.
