Hello i am just 20 years old just diagnosed with prostatitis and admit i do masturbate frequently is it possible that i over did it and that was the cause or could it be combined with other factors?? thanks

Not related.: Masturbation does not cause prostatitis. In fact, there is some evidence in the literature that masturbation can RELIEVE the symptoms of prostatitis. Also, nearly 100% of men masturbate, but only a small minority ever get prostatitis. If masturbation was causative, then there'd be a lot more men with prostatitis. The cause of non-bacterial prostatitis is not currently known.
