Can one have oncolpastic surgery after a lumpectomy or does it have to be performed at the same time?

Can be delayed: Oncoplastic surgery can be performed a week (or later) after lumpectomy. Some surgeons routinely delay it so they can be sure the margins are clear after pathology review. It does not have to be done all at once but discuss with your plastic and oncologic surgeons.
