A member asked:

Is there a way to bind to aptopsis inducing fas receptor sites without activating the aptopsis process?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Certain studies in cancer cells shows that binding of CD95 does not necessarily induce apoptosis; in one particular study it was also revealed that the extrinsic and intrinsic pathway may be linked, since Fas was found at the level of the mitochondria, but without activating of any caspases with engagement.
