Does zika virus affects toddlers brain development?

Unknown: Rapid changes in size & number of nerve cells occur during early pregnancy & the germ targets developing cells. They kill them & the brain does not grow.Without brain mass the skull doesn't enlarge as fast =microcephaly. Many adults & older kids have few if any symptoms with zika. It is likely that toddlers could be more susceptible since their brain is still growing but we have little info yet
