Doesn't matter.: The only way to tell if it's gone is to perform another test like the one used to diagnose the condition (VQ scan or a CT scan with contrast). However, whether or not the clot exists, you'll need to be on blood thinners for at least 3 months & possibly longer, depending on what CONDITION led to the blood clot. That CONDITION puts you at risk for re-forming clots, even if the present clot vanishes.
