Influenza and liver: Only 3% of patients with influenza A had abnormalities of liver tests in a recent study. The patients who had greatly increased liver tests usually had low blood oxygen levels, resulting in the liver damage. If this does not apply to your situation, then a hepatologist should be consulted to look for other causes of greatly abnormal liver tests. Good luck.
