This is a very large: dose for an 8 year old. Potentially he could develop angioneurotic edema of the face or a severe asthmatic reaction. In addition his blood pressure might fall dangerously low. If he has any symptoms at all in the next 12 hours you should take him to an ER for management. After 12 hours if he is OK you should be alright.
